Dedicated to the U.S. Naval Academy and Band, this patriotic composition embodies the powerful but noble character of the navy-spirit. The hymn that begins the piece is directly inspired by the United States Naval Academy's motto ""Ex scientia tridens," meaning "from knowledge, seapower". Mighty fanfares and moving melodies flow through the music, evoking the essence of authority over the seas.
