FILIPINO DANCES Consortium

This will be a symphonic rhapsody built upon four or five different traditional songs from Filipino culture, treated closely to its origins with the sound of the concert band. My hope is that the overall effect of the music will remain true in spirit to the beautiful folk music of the Philippines.

CONSORTIUM DEADLINE: Approx. July 1, 2025

Piccolo, Flute 1-2, Oboe, Bassoon, Bb Clarinet 1-3, Bb Bass Clarinet, Eb Alto Saxophone 1-2, Bb Tenor Saxophone, Eb Baritone Saxophone

Bb Trumpet 1-3, F Horn 1-2, Trombone 1-2, Bass Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba, Double Bass

Timpani, Mallet Percussion [marimba, xylophone, glockenspiel, chimes, vibraphone], Percussion [bass drum, snare drum, claves, tambourine, triangle, crash cymbals, suspended cymbal, agogo bell, more percussion pending**]

PAYMENT OPTIONS

All orders must be paid in order to receive scores and parts.

Consortium Contributors Buy-in: $100

Basic/Standard consortium members will receive the following:

  • A Digital Copy (score and parts in PDF format) of the work

  • Name(s) and school will appear in the official program notes as sponsors and members of the consortium for the Digital Versions AND the print versions when they are produced.

  • 12-month exclusive performance rights after the initial release period

  • A video introduction for the work recorded by Joshua Idio (this will be for the piece in general and will not be specific to each school)

  • Access to continuous updates of the creation of the work and their inspirations.

Optional Upgrade: Printed Copy (Total $200)

For an additional charge, you can also receive a printed copy of the work, signed by Joshua Idio upon its publication. Shipping is included in the continental United States. Additional shipping fees will apply to areas outside the continental U.S.
