Winds of a Voyage was written in 2021 as part of my continuing exploration into chamber music writing. The composition was inspired by the journeys and tales told by voyagers and sailors on the high seas. The beginning section portrays the rough waters and dangerous elements with vigorous accompaniment and fast rhythms. The middle section is the excitement and beauty of the ocean waves told through the music’s fun melodies. The end section combines the two sections into an adventurous theme, having the characteristic accompaniment of the first section and the fun, melodic nature of the second section.
