Imbued with lively rhythms, heart-pounding melodies, and electrifying percussive action, this exciting score will leave both the audience and musicians breathless. This dynamic composition uses the power of each instrument section to fill the music with constant animation from beginning to end. The phrase “edge of your seat” has never been truer then now.
Writing this piece has been an adventure. The idea for The Edge came to mind as I was experimenting with new software and trying out new writing-strategies. I always wanted to create a piece in odd meter such as 7/8 that was fun to play and challenging to learn. This was also the first time I ventured out of the typical program-music and into a more contemporary flair. It was a challenge to write this piece because I haven’t published music in this kind of style yet, so this is an exciting new path for me! I hope you enjoy this vibrant composition.
