When archaeologists dig, they never know what they will find. Pottery, jewelry, love letters. Every object is an artifact, a message from the past, telling us what life was like long ago, for civilizations or one single person. As humans, we experience all of life’s ups and downs, the thrills and the fear, love and loss, pain and strength. Each day, we learn, and the lessons we discover help us grow, so all of these tales are important to us in one way or another. And to be able to share that with future generations is I think vital to humanity.
Now imagine that you do this by creating a time capsule, a simple container holding all of these treasured memories, and then burying it to be found years later. A hundred years later your time capsule is found. What would be inside? Your happy stories? Signs of your struggles? Photos of the sadder moments? Now imagine what that would sound like in music. That is the story this composition is eager to share. In this captivating symphonic poem of melodic story-telling, beautiful lyricality, and rhythmic thrill, Capsule of Adventures portrays the opening of a time capsule and watch as the history that it holds comes alive.
